EarthTime is a handy application that allows you to know the exact date and time at virtually anywhere in the world. The program includes a database with more than 100.000 locations around the world that includes even secondary cities in small countries. Besides, the program allows you to create multiple alarms, based on the time of the city in the world of your choice.
EarthTime's main window includes a world map which allows you to know where in the world it's daytime and where it's nighttime at a glance. Besides, the program shows information about seven cities around the world and – optionally – their location in the map. By default, these cities are Los Angeles, New York City, London, Moscow, Tokyo, and Sydney, but you can change any of them or even add as many cities as you wish. However, I would not recommend you to add more than fourteen or fifteen cities, since otherwise the program's interface becomes messy and confusing. The default information that the program displays for each city is the name, the country name, and its local time and date.
As an additional feature, the program is capable of showing a cloud layer, which can either be a simple simulation or display real weather information, updated in real time. However, if you decide to go for the real service, you will need to pay an additional fee. Besides, even though the program's website claims that it allows you to add custom locations to the database, I have been able to find a way to achieve this. However, you will hardly need to add a new location to such a comprehensive database. Finally, the program also allows you to specify command lines with optional parameters for the left-click, right-click, and double-click events on each city's card.
To sum up, if for whatever reason you need to be aware of the date and/or time of multiple locations around the world ─ and even set alarms based on this information ─ EarthTime will fit all your needs.
