EarthTime is a universal clock able to show you the local time of any site in the world. It has a built-in database of more than 3000 cities worldwide. When EarthTime is started for the first time, it will display some default cities. You can edit this list if you want to choose different cities or you can add some new ones. To edit the list of displayed cities, select "Cities..." from the "Edit" menu.
On the main window of EarthTime you can find the following parts:
- A City Bar. It displays the local times of all selected cities. A maximum of 64 cities can be displayed at the same time, if they fit in the available space. If the cities exceed the width of one row, a second row will be displayed (below the map of the earth).
- A Map Area. It displays the map of the earth and the current day/night areas. If a city is selected and has the focus, the map area will display the location of the selected city.
- An Info Bar. It displays detailed information about the selected city. This includes city name, country, position, local time and date.
Another feature of EarthTime is that you can define alarms. To define one you have to choose a city, time, date, which sound file you want to be played, and write a message to be displayed.
